What is the Gold Call?
The gold call is an alternative to the elevator pitch, and is the winning sales dialogue that will help you to close more sales appointments with prospects over the phone. Rather than rush through an elevator pitch, gold calling salespeople manage conversation with sales prospects by asking them a series of prepared questions that identify the prospect as the right contact to call, closes for their attention, and then easily confirms the sales appointment set over the phone. It's that simple.

  • Opening Statement: (The Ice Breaker - Get 10-Seconds to Speak)
  • The ‘Lemonade Statement’: (Simple 10-word explanation of your business that helps prospects understand why you are calling them).
  • Focus Questions: (Is the prospect that you're calling focused on solving a problem that you can help them with?)
  • Attention Questions: (Determines whether the prospect will pay attention to a possible solution you provide).
  • Closing Questions: (Close for your day in court on a day when the prospect is willing to give you more of their attention).

Step #1 The Gold Call Curriculum

I personally tailor a Gold Call Training curriculum that meets your team's needs, and one that you approve of prior to the actual live training. I'll pull various recorded gold calls from any of the hundreds of recorded telephone conversations I've had with prospects to make sure that I provide the appropriate examples and the answers to your sales team's toughest sales prospecting challenges.

By the way...after personally teaching thousands of rookie and veteran salespeople I can tell you that I treat each and every audience differently. That's what keeps it fun for me and purposeful for your team.

Step #2 Preparation & Orientation

To get your team ready I will create a 'pre-event' e-lesson for your entire team to participate in prior to the actual live training event. This will get everyone one 'on-purpose' before the training even begins so not one single minute is wasted!

Step #3 The Training Event

You and your team attend the specially tailored live gold call training event, which is rich in hands on and tactical learning.

Step #4 Gold Call Continuing Education

This is the step that seals the deal, and reinforces the skills necessary to turn your sales team's cold calls into gold calls right away. Your entire team will receive a scheduled group and individual follow up with the gold caller himself, Pete Ekstrom, in order to reinforce and practice what was learned during our training session. The follow up coaching will close the gap between knowing the gold call script, and owning the process of executing gold calls over the telephone.
